Q.

Hi, I'm 6month pregnant now, my age is 33, I have a healthy boy baby of 2 years, in my 3rd month nt scan trisomy 21, 13, and 18 are negative and there is a tricuspid regurgitation in foetus heart. now I have done 6th month anomaly scan in this scan they have mentioned " in the view of intermediate risk for trisomy 21 in first trimester combined screening the couple has the option of nipt".. what it means please explain I'm so worried.. and I have given a blood sample for nipt.. waiting for report.. please advise thank you

A. if you are nt scan is normal and also the trisomy result is normal then actually there was no need to go for nipt test. if you have done its okay but there is no problem and concerning about the intra cardiac fetal issue it gets hissolved in many of the cases as the baby grows

A. trisomy is negative in 3rd month scan but now in 6 month anomaly scan they have mentioned " in view of intermediate risk for trisomy 21 in first trimester combined screening (1 in 463)" .. so I'm not understanding this.. actually what it means.. is trisomy negative in 6th month also??? please suggest. thank you

A. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much. But it is really very difficult to say anything without proper examination. It is advisable to get yourself evaluated by a doctor and follow doctors advise properly.
