hi, I just gave my baby some water with a sippy cup. during the process he was touching the spout with hands and other stuff as well. my question is do I need to clean sippy cup (water inside the cup) after every use the way bottles are sterilized or can it be done once a day and I can store water in it

ExpertDr.Rasika ThosarPaediatric Intensivist6 years agoA. hi good evening to you . the usage of sippy cups can lead to upper respiratory tract infection if cleanliness is not maintained . make sure it has a cover and it's kept in a clean place after use . you can store water in it for a day

Nihita mittalMom of a 8 yr 4 m old boy6 years agoA. Till competition of 12 months definitely need to sterilize the Sippy cup and as I can see your baby has completed only 5 months you should not give water or anything else to a baby apart from mother's milk

Vritika AroraMom of a 9 yr 4 m old boy6 years agoA. sippy cups needs to be sterilized once a day. but maintain proper hygiene. do not touch it with dirty hands or throw on the floor. wash and sterilize the feeder after every feed
