Q.

Hi. I have sharp cuts over both of my nipples due to bitting by my 8 months old baby during breastfeeding. Its very painful and even a light touch produce burning sensation. Should i continue to feed my baby or stop for a while. And what to do for pain relief and speedy healing?

A. apply a nip care cream. Apply to nipples after breast-feeding. and remove or gentally wipe with soft cotton cloth and removed before nursing your baby. Use Nipple shields to protect sore nipples during feeding

A. Tips for soothing sore nipples: products like Vaseline or lanolin can help with dry or cracked nipples (although there's little evidence to show what really works well) after each feed, let your nipples dry before getting dressed – change your breast pads after every feed. avoid using soap
