Hi. I have a 2 months baby girl. 3rd day they have given BCG vaccination in her left arm. From last 3 days there is a pus formed. Can any doctor suggest what to do.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 5 m old boy2 years agoA. bcg vaccination which is given at birth in the upper arm will form a swelling by one or maximum two months and then it will burst open and then pus will come out from it and after that it will become a scar mark.
you have to take medical consultation if it days causing pain fever and discodmfort to the child.
also if the pus discharge is increasing or aggravating again you have to meet the doctor and locally you can apply t bact cream.

and it will alright by the time
so as such no need to worry
just keep that area clean
choose loose fitting Cotton clothes for your child
prefer sleeves less clothes
