Q.
HI I have 7 months old girl and passing watery stools 6-8 times a day. So is it normal or do we need to consult a doctor? Also can we feed her coffee (1/2 spoon)?? #expert

Loose motion are most of the time infective where it is associated with fever and vomiting and its known as gastroenteritis where symptomatic treatment along with management for dehydration is required if looguse motions are associated with foul smell mucous high grade fever than it could be bacterial inffection which needs antibiotics treatment

Ankita MehtaMom of a 9 yr 3 m old girl3 years agoA. hi well , usually it is normal for breastfed babies to pass watery stool upto 10 times in a day. no need to worry about it much. just give plenty of breastfeeds give natural probiotics like fresh curd buttermilk etc more avoid introducing new food for now if condition remain same, please visit your pediatrician
