Hi, I am a mother of 4 month old baby. Exclusively breast feeding. Does giving iron supplement makes baby’s potty smelly and green?

A. if you are giving iron supplementation to your child it gives black colour to the motion green colour motion is not because of iron supplementation and if there is any mucus or foul smell there may be some infection

A. Hello mam it wouldn’t have made it smelly and green it would have rather made it black if you’re giving it a supplement. But if there is a smell in the potty then you should consult a paediatrician because as my paediatrician if the poop has a stickiness or smell then it could indicate a stomach infection so you shouldn’t wait and you should consult your paediatrician ones regarding the same
