Q.

hi I am a mother of 3month old boy baby. he is active born 3.15 kg he latches hardly for about 5 to 10mins each breast per feeding .. very fussy to latch and does not have a sound sleep

A. hi your baby is 3 months old now see if there are problems of inverted or flat nipple then use a nipple shield.also check whether you position baby properly so that baby is comfortable and latchment is appropriate

A. nipple is fully fine no retraction.. position is also good as I hold him close towards my body in hand with no blocking of nose .yet he pushes back ward to latch .. I am confused and worried as he is increasing only 400gm per month

A. Hello ma’am Mostly you should be feeding your child from one side at one point of time and the other side the other point of time like for the second feed. Maybe your child is not able to latch on properly which is why you feel your child as for say so if you need you can consult a lactation specialist ones
