A. once the  baby is 6 months old you can start with Rice and dal water ,Boiled and mashed potato, sweet potato, carrot, Pureed vegetables and fruits, porridges of rawa or ragi ,mashed banana ,chicoo..start with 1 spoon 1 time in a day and gradually increase.Always remember a 3 days rule before introducing new foods like when u start with something continue the same food for 3 days and see if the baby is comfortable with that food and then you can introduce a new one.

A. Hi, Although exclusive breast feeding is advisable till 6 months if its not possible due to some reason you can give the baby formula and start cereal from 4 months( min age). My baby boy is about the same age. I am giving my son 8 scoops of rice cereal mixed with about 100 ml of warm water twice a day and the rest of the times I give him formula milk. Try to feed the baby more formula milk( its more nutrient dense) than rice cereal. You can also mix formula milk with rice cereal but I would recommend asking your paediatrician about this approach first. But mostly this doesn't cause any problem. Hope this helps Lots of love

A. Thank you. Actually I need to join work after a month. So just wanted to get her used to some other foods along with breastfeeding.
