Q.

Hi everyone My daughter is 2yrs old n she is suffering with chickenpox n high fever, doctor suggested paracetamol 4times per day for 2 days after 2 days not controlled the fever then use Cefixime oral suspension I.P. 100 mg Milixim-100 DS How can I use this syrup?? After using this can I control the fever or not?? Please suggest anyone please

A. the antibiotic is not helping in decreasing the fever but will help in decreasing the infection and for fever you can continue to give paracetamol maximum 4 times per day and also do body sponge and give plenty of water to drink

A. good morning it will be better to follow the advice of your local treating pediatrician because he can actually examine the child would be better if it is not coming in control with paracetamol you definitely need to give antibiotics
