Q.

Hi everyone.. I m feeding my baby through nipple shield... due to which he is going through gas problems by the end of the day...how can I make him used to the direct nipple.. he is 35 days old,,,pls suggest me with your experience..TIY

A. I have flat nipples ... so I am using nipple sheild... Whenever I try to remove the shield he cries and becomes fussy... how to get away if that became my big worry now..

A. try offering feed without shield.. shield is not necessary until and unless you have any problem with nipples.. if there is no problem plss try direct feeding. give lots of skin contact.. . constipation /gass is common in breast feeding babies.. inturn they cry and get irritated.. nothing to worry.. pleasw feed on demand.. burp after every feed and keep baby in that position for at least 10mins.. start giving tummy time like for about 2-3mins atlst 3 times in a day it helps to relax and release gas ..also cycling exercise helps to release gas.. massage navel area with mustard oil or hing paste.. mother should avoid consumption of gassy food..
