if you feel baby is talking very less then better to consult your pediatrician itself once who can personally see the baby and guide you. She can refer you yo a speech therapist if required.
But what you must do at home is to talk to the baby and make sure the baby repeats after you. Repetition is the key in learning. You must make eye contact with the baby. Take the help of books and show him pictures and teach. This is a good way of learning.
