HI Dr my boy 18 months having fever of about 99 f in day time and 101-102 f at night since 3 days I took him to consultant on first day itself they gave pcm and mefenamic acid I'm giving him mefenamic acid at night becoz of high fever but from mong to night 8pm he will be alright please suggest what to do I'm giving

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. baby suffering from high fever you can give calpol 3 times a day in a gap of every 8 hours and you can also do cold sponging in between if there is any fever

RashmiMom of a 11 yr 2 m old girl4 years agoA. You She should start doing cold sponging as well slowly gradually the fever will start subsiding what happens is through the day when the child is active in all the child gets exhausted which is why the fever rises to the higher side by the night
