Hi Dr, My baby is going to be 4 month old. Since yesterday afternoon he is having feaver 99*/97*/98* and coughing in every after couple of hours. please advise

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. You can give paracetamol to the child for fever and this medicine can be repeated maximum 4 times per day.
It is given according to the weight of the child and according to the power of paracetamol medicine you are having.
Armpit temperature of hundred or more is considered as fever
Important to do body sponge and give plefnty of fluids to drink to prevent dehydration and decrease body temperature.
Keep the childc in cool environment and avoid using woolen clothes when the child is having fever
Higher medicines for fever is required or not will be told by the doctor
