Hi Dr. my baby is 7 month old and she is suffering from cold from last 9th April and cough also from last 1 week. I am giving her livolin at night and nasivion and nasoclear but not much improvement showing. please suggest

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after ahi proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and thge dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

Nihita mittalMom of 4 children3 years agoA. good morning you may try your couple of home remedies first of all you can try to give your child in direct steam and second you can also try to massage with the help of warm mustard oil on the chest and back
