Q.

#AskTheExperts hi dr is it ok to squeeze breasts of a new born baby to extract the milk while bathing. My mother in law says if we dont do this then her breasts would develop cysts due to milk present there. My baby cries a lot in this execricise and now her breasts are swollen now. After 4-5 times of squeezing in one month we have stopped seeing her swelling but we can see milk is present there. Could you pls advise?

A. No never do it. It will go on its own. As they grow when they roll it will disappear. If you squeeze or massage it is going to get swollen and will lead to other problems. Please explain to your mil
