Q.

Hi dr. how much weight is gained during 4th month of pregnancy ?? I am not gaining much weight is this normal in starting of 4th month??

A. Hello mam, Ideally if u are in normal weight range when u conceived than 8 to 10 kg weight gain should be there in pregnancy and there is not set rule that this much of weight gain is necessary in specific month It depends on your diet and other factors,. There is very less weight gain in 1st trimester that is first three months n 4 th months onwards weight gain starts Have a balanced and healthy diet with small and frequent meals

A. during pregnancy the weight gain is completely dependent upon the kind of diet you take what's more important is that the foetus is growing and is it a perfect weight your increase in weight is not important during my second pregnancy I did not put on more than 2 kgs of weight however my baby was born at a healthy weight so there is absolutely nothing to worry about keep a close track of your ultrasound and ask your obstetrician about the weight of your little one
