Q.
Hi doctors/ Parents, my baby is having viral fever at the temperature of 99°f to 100°f, and we consulted one of the high-tech hospital doctors and they have given some antibiotics, and we have given two three time syrap but still the temperature is same. so we are scared

Fever is a response of the body to any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose as the first line treatment also this dose can be again repeated after every 5 to 6 hours if fever is repjueating. and you can also do cold sponging of the body if required

But For just fever you doctors do not give antibiotics you know there must be some another issue associated as of now you can give me medicine for fever it could be Calpol paracetamol anything that you have available and also do cold sponge behind the knees of the child that will help in reducing down the fever
