Q.

hi doctor my son is four and half years old. from past 6 to 7 months he started stuttering. do we need to take him through some treatment?? will it go by itself? the stuttering started lightly but now increased. pls suggest

A. Stuttering in children often starts during the preschool years, often at 2-4 years. This is when children are starting to combine words and make longer sentences. Some children don't start stuttering until later in childhood. Stuttering can start suddenly – for example, a child might wake up one day with a stutter.
