Q.

Hi Doctor, My son is 3 years 3 months old, when ever he is getting poop he is not telling me. He is going poop on his pant. I am so worried about this. Even he is not showing interest to sit on the potty seat. For pee he will tell. Only for poop he is troubling me. I am so scared. plz suggest me .Is he ok . Generally by what age kids will tell all these both pee and poop.

A. my son also does the same. he poops and then says 'mumma aaya hai'. my son is also 3 years and 3 months. he will learn gradually and I'm trying to be positive about this.

A. potty training and toilet training should be initiated as soon as the child completes one and half years of age. avoid before that except if you feel that the child is giving cues when he or she wants to pass stool. also good demonstration has to be given again and again to the child to reinforce the habit. make the child sit on potty seat daily so that the child gets accustomed and not fearful of the seat and situation kindly go through various artxicles on potty training on firstcry. please bez patient as after starting training it may take 6 months also for the child to learn.
