Q.

Hi Doctor, My son currently 2.7 year , started stamerring for 10 days suddenly.He talks very nice , but started stamerring sometimes on few words like KKK....kaka, Ddd...dada but not always ... But when he tells rhymes .. he never stammer... I can't understand what the problem is .... should we take suggestion from speech therapist ....please are worried

A. Developmental stuttering may occur when a kid's desire to speak exceeds his speech and language abilities. When this happens, a kid may begin to stutter until his spoken language skills have caught up. Sometimes it may last for a few weeks or sometimes for a couple of years. You can talk to your doctor if you are worried.
