Hi Doctor, my son continue three days dry cought. already I give Ascoril syrup. even not cure. what kind of medicine we can give.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expfectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after ac proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

U Should give medicine for drying up the one you gave is mostly for the wet cough so you have to be very sure as to what medicine you are giving to the child also advise you as of now you should definitely taken advice from your paediatrician ones regarding the same
