Hi doctor. My husband gave my son salt water to make him vomit as we were under the assumption that he swallowed something.. Fortunately he dint and he also puked after approx half an hour.. But he is feeling very weak tired and looks drowsy.. Is it because of vomiting or salt water? What to do to make him feel better?

ExpertDr Mahesh PatilPaediatrician5 years agoA. Hello, your baby boy is 2 years old and he was given salt water to drink and he vomited,so don’t worry it is due to loss of electrolytes,give him coconut water and fruits juice.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaFather of a 12 yr 9 m old boy5 years agoA. if your child has vomited and as you have given salt water so because of vomiting the child may look drowsy so just wait for sometime and still if the drowsiness persist you should consult your doctor
