Q.

Hi doctor My daughter is facing ear infection for a week , for which my doctor had wrote candibiotic drops and potassium culvinate drops from which she developed diarrahea, yesterday I went so he changed the drops to Advent for ear infection, for which he is saying it will generate diarrahea some what due to antibiotic ? can you suggest what to do and how did ear infection developed to my little baby ?

A. when the child is having cold and cough for long time then the infection can reach the internal ear of the child. also during the bath when the water goes inside the external ear that can cause ear infection

A. I hope you’re getting it checked with an ENT doctor not a paediatrician because an ENT doctor would have a better knowledge and they can help you with right medicines and it is of no connection having an antibiotic resulting in diarrhoea that means the medicine is not suiting so that’s a very vague logic that your doctor is going so I’m going to recommend you to consult an ENT specialist
