Q.

hi Doctor my daughter having fever from last three days (no cold cough) and after every 6 to 7 hours fever get repeated. we went to pediatrician and she gave fever medicine (IMOL)and antibiotics(Azrithomycin 3 ml /day) for three days. today doctor suggested some blood and urine test like dengue, malaria etc but reports are clear no infections. she has mentioned RTPCR test also but we don't think so. shall we do this test or not? pls suggest. also attaching all reports.

A. I don't think it's needed.. as their is no specific treatment of covid in kids. do Continue with prescribed medications. give sufficient fluids. do tepid sponging I'd temperature is high.

A. Give sufficient fluids . Sponge bath when fever is high. I guess continue the antibiotic for more 2_3 days but yes pls consult the doctor . I had a past experience with this mine doctor continued azithromycin for 5_6 days . And YES do the RTPCR .

A. it may be viral fever that is repeatedly coming and going.. viral fever will be there for 5-7days.. monitor.. keep baby well hydrated.. you can give tulsi water one or two spoon thrice a day.. if the fever is high and not coming done then you should go for the RT PCR test..
