POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy5 months agoA. If your 1 year 6-month-old baby has been walking normally since 1 year 3 months but is now walking with bent legs, observe if he has any signs of:
✔ Pain or discomfort – Is he crying or avoiding walking?
✔ Weakness or tiredness – Does he seem less active than usual?
✔ Swelling or injury – Any redness, swelling, or history of a minor fall?
✔ Nutritional deficiency – Lack of Vitamin D or calcium can sometimes cause temporary weakness.
What You Can Do: Let him rest and avoid excessive walking for a day or two. Give him calcium-rich foods (milk, paneer, ragi, eggs) and ensure daily sunlight exposure for Vitamin D. Massage his legs gently with warm oil to relax the muscles. Encourage barefoot walking at home for better balance.
If the bending continues for more than a week, worsens, or he seems in pain, consult a pediatrician to rule out any bone, muscle, or neurological concerns.
