Hi doctor , my baby is 7 months old. He cries a lot due to gas Pain or sleep sometimes he holds his breath for mins 40 secs. As a new parents we are afraid of it. Can you please let me know how to stop him to avoid breath holding and also tell us is it harmful to baby if he holds for long time. Please advice

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. it is called as breath holding spells you should not worry about just distract the baby during thisfurther about this you can get guided properly by consulting your nearby doctor to get relevant information and get all your doubts cleared which will be a better approach for this in a proper way it becomes difficult to explain here in details without proper examination
