Hi Doctor, my baby is 5 Mon old he cause past 3 days mucus I am using nasal drops and promethazine hydrochloride syrup they don't decrease what to do?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it may be a part of allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination.
steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases along with decongestant medicine like alex cold/ hatric 3/ sinarest.
As a part of viral illness there could bhe associated symptoms like cough and fever which needs treatment accordingly along with a proper hydration needs to be maintained .

first ,you should not give any kind of Medicine without consulting your pediatrician.
so , instead of Medicine ,I would suggest to rub Babyhug rapid relief rub on chest and back of your child.
give indirect steam.
provide apt sun light at least 20 minutes a day.
