Hi Doctor, my baby is 5 Mon old he cause past 3 days mucus I am using nasal drops and promethazine hydrochloride syrup they don't decrease what to do?

A. Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it may be a part of allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination. steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases along with decongestant medicine like alex cold/ hatric 3/ sinarest. As a part of viral illness there could bhe associated symptoms like cough and fever which needs treatment accordingly along with a proper hydration needs to be maintained .

A. hi first ,you should not give any kind of Medicine without consulting your pediatrician. so , instead of Medicine ,I would suggest to rub Babyhug rapid relief rub on chest and back of your child. give indirect steam. provide apt sun light at least 20 minutes a day.
