Q.

Hi doctor my baby is 4 month old, he having cold (nosee aa rahi hai) from two days my doctor suggested T minic plz tell what quantity ? n how many times we have to give ? to my baby. reply soon

A. Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once agr proper evaluation by the doctor is done and according to the type of cough its prescribed. if any gfever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours if required .

A. good evening it is never advisable to use any medicine for the baby without showing to the doctor I would recommend that you should try to visit your pediatrician for a proper clinical examination first
