Q.

Hi Doctor, My baby is 3 months old. Whenever she is awake and we play with her or she is awake for 2-3 hours, she becomes super active and then is not able to sleep till 1 in nite. And cries alot as she is too sleepy but cannot sleep by her own. We need to keep her in lap but she cries uncontrollably. Please suggest how we can solve this problem. Thanks

A. Sleep Cycle in smaller babies is very different and they have a certain pattern initially which becomes regularize at around 6 to 8 months of agge and if the baby is comfortable with no irritability because of infantile colic nasal blockage any regurgitation etc you should not worry just give a comfortable position to the baby and no medicine is required.

A. It Is better that you give a colic medicine to the child if your child is crying continuously and feed your child and then put your child to sleep it would be better and if used to feed your child in the lying down position then your child will sleep immediately in the same position only that would also be a better thing
