Q.

Hi Doctor, my baby is 3 months old..and today morning he had a sudden fever (100.5). i did not understand the reason for fever. have given crocin once at 8 am today.. till now he is ok.. fever did not came again..but i am concerned of what could be the reason. even my ac was not on..be was sleeping in a fan wearing full sleeves cotton t shirt n pajama. pls guide.

A. If your baby has a fever, in most instances it means they have probably picked up a cold or other viral infection. Although they are less common in infants, pneumonia, urinary tract infections, ear infections, or a more serious infection such as a blood bacterial infection or meningitis may be causing a fever.
