Hi doctor, my baby is 3 days old. As per test bilirubin level is 14. The baby is take to photo therapy. is it required??? what is the normal range for 3 days old baby??

It’s Around 5.5 or something but I would like to say that your child is having it on a little bit of higher side so of course it is important that your child should Under be phototherapy for sometime it will definitely be recommended which is why the doctor must have asked you to go for it. Apart from that once you bring your child back home after that you should always keep your child in indirect sun for about 30 to 40 minutes for good vitamin D
