Q.

hi doctor my baby is 2 yrs old. still his head is not completely closed still small part must be closed.. when he born the soft spot on head is little bit bigger.. can u tell me when will it close completely.. is there any need to consult doctor

A. Hi. The anterior fontanelle usually closes by 18 months of age, sometimes a little later. If only a small part is remaining to fuse and if your child is otherwise healthy, you can wait a month or 2 more.
