Q.

Hi doctor...my baby is 2 years and 2 months old,,, He never shows any interest to eat anything ,,I tried my best to make different varieties of food still when he saw the foods he feels like vomiting,,,some times I will very tense,,,what should I do ?? Last time I consult with pediatrician also but he told me give him some time it will improve by age,,, pls suggest me doctor any idea so that my child will not start vomit after seeing foods...

A. it is advisable to continue your efforts in feeding the child. many times it take more efforts from the parents to make the child eat nutritious food. so kindly go for different recipes and flavours which might improve the appetite of the child. at the same time it is aldso important to meet your doctor to rule out nutritional deficiency which might be the cause of loss of appetite. give juice fruits and water which will improve appetite and regular physical activity.

A. Your child is having some deficiency which is suppressing the appetite specially Iron and sometimes it could be due to some intestine related issue like digestion related issue the child is not willing to eat so start with iron supplement and see if that helps and if it doesn’t then you need to consult a Doctor Who specialises in this area
