Q.
hi doctor,my baby boy now 2 months 26th day ,he had viral pneumonia 20day and took treatment for that , after that he is not taking proper feeds, previously he used to latch for 20-30 min ,now he won't latch for 5min how should I increase feeding time and frequency????

Dr GhouseGuardian of 3 children4 years agoA. loss of appetite following any viral infections particularly viral pneumonia it may take few more days for the baby e for having proper feeding you can give vitamin supplements to the baby

Sai Prasanthi R LMom of a 11 yr 9 m old boy4 years agoA. Hello dear parent! Try to express your breastmilk and feed your baby with a spoon if your baby is not latching for longer periods. Check your child’s urine output. If it is less than 6 times in a day then please consult your doctor for further assistance. If required take the help of a lactation expert.
