Hi Doctor, My baby 7th Month old, He has cough, we went to doctor and used Ascorill LS drops and Zyntus-D and Levolin nebulization also given, Still he has cough what to do please advice. Thanks.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type deof cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

Maintain a good personal hygiene and follow your doctor’s advice diligently. Regularly massage your baby with Babyhug daily massage oil. Good luck and take care.
