Q.
Hi Doctor, my 6 months old baby fell down from bed 6 and half months ago. he cryed only for 5 minutes and he was normal and active. we moniterd him for 24 hours he was all fine. but there was a small bruise on his back head which was in pink color. even till today the colour has not changed. we pressed on it he is normal. now he is 12 months old. still it's not gone

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy3 years agoA. Talk to your doctor once, The swelling and pain of the hematoma will go away. This takes from 1 to 4 weeks, depending on the size of the hematoma. The skin over the hematoma may turn bluish then brown and yellow as the blood is dissolved and absorbed. Usually, this only takes a couple of weeks but can last months.
