Hi doctor I was having fever 15 days back and I took nimesluise and paracetamol 2 tablets will it affect my baby

Author of questionMom of a 3 yr 3 m old boy3 years agoA. I took the tablet nimesluide and paracetamol will it harm the baby I checked in google it’s saying I r will harm the baby and I am getting scared could please let me know I took 2 tanlets

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Fever is a reaction of the body to different pyrogens released during any Infection. Usually temp more than 99 F is taken as fever . Mostly in children fever is because of viral infections like flu or RSV where the fever is there for 4-5 days but may persist even upto 2 weeks . Initially antipyretic like paracetamol is given in a dose of 15 mg / kg/ dose. Can be repgeated after 4-6 hrs if needed . Lukewarm sponge bath can be given as home remedy to decrease fever. Adequate fluid intake is also beneficial. Urine output monitoring is necessary to arvoid dehydration .

RashmiMom of a 11 yr 2 m old girl3 years agoA. If these medicines were advised by the doctor and also if it is any basic medicines not a course of antibiotics that is completely fine because only antibiotics are supposed to be taken on doctors recommendation and consent only
