Q.

Hi doctor I have severe cough and ear pain. Doctor gave me benadryl dr cough syrup but my friend told me it will affect the milk supply while breastfeeding. I'm confused is it safe during breastfeeding and can I take as doctor prescribed ml. Thanks srividhya

A. no it is safe and can take. you can take steam as well as apply vicks. you can also go for home remedies like tulsi honey ginger water as well as warm lemon tea. you may go for (warm water + salt + turmeric) gargles which will again help in decreasing cold and cough and you can continue breast feeding
