hi doctor ,I had a c.section on 29 of December this month ,my baby is of 6 days he is born at 35 weeks 5 days we got discharged yesterday now he tested for jaundice n he has range of it 15 , doctor is saying for admission of his for 24 hours,is it Okey for new born to have jaundice at what time he ll recovered

NamitaMom of a 4 yr 3 m old child4 years agoA. do one thing every morning around 9 am open his all clothes and sit for min half o hour to sunlight and give medicines as per you doc says do this at least for 15 days even I too faced this problem..

Dr GhouseGuardian of 3 children4 years agoA. most of the babies will be having neonatal jaundice which may continue after two to three weeks also if the bilirubin level is more than and 16 to 18 baby needs phototherapy
