Hi doctor, how much sleep does 5.5 months need in total ?

That can be many reasons for impaired sleep so you can use tips for good baby sleep make baby well fed at bedtime also can sing a lullaby for baby easy sleeping . Also you can rock or pat while or swing the baby while sleeping

14 to 16 hours per day.
but if your child looks happy and active, gains enough weight, achieve age appropriate milestones then no need to worry about it much.
