Hi Doctor,good afternoon!!! my daughter is 23 months old ,she is having cough and cold from last one week,and she is crying from yesterday night,i thought it may from stomach ace so i have rubbed the Asafoetida on her stomach but she is still crying.plz suggest

A. This can occur due to either allergy or infection and some times due to weather changes around the child. For cold you can give syp maxtra /wikoryl AF 5 ml to the child 2 to 3 times per day. (Helps in decreasing running nose and cold) Try to prevent temperature variations around the child and give nasal saline drops every three hourly. Indirect steam can also be given. For fever and pain gzive paracetamol Go for home remedies like Tulsi Ginger honey diluted with water combination and turmeric with milk at least 2 times per day. Give warm wzater to drink. . For wet coughing you can give syrup ascoril LS 5ml twice daily to the child
