Q.

hi doctor from yesterday.my daughter is having fever, max was 102.5. Her pediatrician gave calpol every 6 hours if fever is greater than 100. today also max fever was like 100.6-100.7. how many days we have to.give calpol. I am worried. also she has cough for same we are giving mucolite thrice in a day.

A. it's only because of bacterial infection..consult some experienced doctor..give Azithromycin antibiotic for babies for 3 days after consulting doc and maintain hygiene and give lots of lukewarm water..take care bacterial infections lasts longer with high fever

A. yes if baby is having fever above 99 Fahrenheit then you have to get fever medicine you can safely repeat the fever medicine every 6 hours in one day also see a doctor
