Q.

Hi Doctor, For my kid 6th week vaccination completed at government healthcare center. Same five vaccines they are giving in 14th week also. But in 10th week they are giving only three vaccines i.e. Penta, OPV and ROTA, not giving PCV and IPV. Tomorrow is my kid 10th week vaccination day. So once we take three vaccines i.e Penta, OPV, ROTA for him in government center, same day can we go and take PCV vaccine at private hospital?

A. All the vaccination should be given according to the vaccination schedule whether the government or IAP schedule and you can discuss with your pediatrician regarding the details of the vaccination. Pulse polio immunization programme is provided by the government to all children below 5 years of age. if your child has received polio vaccine before as per the schedule then also you should give this vaccinethy on the the pulse polio day as this is an additional vaccine. For polio vaccine dates and related query you need to contact your local authorities .
