Hi doctor, am the mother of 10 year old daughter. she is having swelling in her left nipple. if we press it's paining otherwise no . is it serious or we can leave this. please advice. Thank you

A swelling in your 10-year-old daughter’s nipple that hurts only when pressed is often not serious and can be due to common causes like a clogged milk duct, infection, or a benign cyst. However, since she is still young and this is unusual, it’s best to have it checked by a pediatrician or a pediatric surgeon to rule out any infection or other issues and get proper treatment if needed. If the swelling grows, becomes red, warm, or if your daughter develops fever or more pain, seek medical care promptly.
