Q.

Hi doc, please let me knowhow much formula/feed that 1 month old should consume? please note that there is no breast feed supply and so we had to choose formula.

A. you have to give only demand feeding to the child that is whenever the child feels hungry you can give milk to the child and the child will take the milk according to the need and then will leave the milk. if the child is taking more milk you can offer milk in more quantity with intermittent burping . there is no need to to go for fixed fededing pattern. also there is no need to wake up the child from sleep if the weight of the child is within normal limits . also if the weight gain of the child every month is normal then no need to wdorry regarding the pattern of breastfeeding

A. There is no problem if you had to choose formula and about 30 ML you can start with minimum appetite out of the child at this age is about 30 ML can be more depending upon the appetite of the child but a minimum 30 should be enough to start with
