Q.

Hi Doc My girl is 3-months new. She has been quite cranky for quite a few days; has been drooling, and has been taking her hand to her mouth too often. She even seems to moving her mouth as if chewing. Should we consider these as early symptoms of teething? Do infants start teething as early as 3 months? Is this normal? If yes, any tips on to soothe her pain? Please suggest. Thanks in advance. #asktheexpert

A. Hi mommy Yes it’s teething sign Rub your baby’s gums regularly to ooze pain of teething gums Use a clean finger to rub your baby’s gums Keep it cool by giving some finger food or teether after keeping in refrigerator Offer a teething ring or pacifier or silicone teether so baby can chew it to avoid irritation of gums Try hard foods Dry the drool with soft cloth
