hi doc... my daughter is 4 and half months old. Her poop is green in color with some.white particles, is there anything I need to worry about? Also we have started giving her iron drops from last 10 days, is this the cause for green poop? She is exclusively on breastfeeding and her weight is 6.7kgs.

A. Green coloured Motions are normally seen in babies and commonly it may be due to less feed intake , or ,formula milk feeding. if the baby is passing motion frequently in a day and the colour of the motion is ranging from light yellow to dark green or brown it may be considered as normal in such a case only frequent feeding and exclusive breastfeeding is suggested. If it is associated with mucous, are watery and have bad smell then there could be some infection, also so if there are any othbbdher associated problem like fever ,vomiting then you should consult your doctor .
