Q.

hi doc ,my baby has completed 6 months old yesterday and he is a pre-term baby (33 weeks).am confused about starting solids for my baby ... can I start with solids or I have to start with semi solids first ??? can I follow Baby led weaning with him now??or have to wait for some more months

A. Premature babies have different nutrition needs to babies born at term. The general guidelines on starting solids at around six months do not apply to preterm babies. Your baby doesn't need to have teeth for starting solids. It is recommended to start solids when your baby is around 5 – 7 months of their actual age.
