Hi,can someone please suggest me a good prickly heat powder for my son. As of now we use Candid Dusting powder,but due to heat he has started having heat rashes or ghamori.

Dr Rashmi SriramMom of a 9 yr 5 m old girl5 years agoA. Hi sweat rash is common in summer. It is due to block of sweat glands. Using powder can aggravate by causing blockade of sweat glands. Baby has to be kept in cool comfortable environment. Calamine lotion can provide soothing effect.

Hi mom. you can follow the below remedy for the heat rashes. try any one. you can use Himalaya prickly heat powder Prickly heat or heat rashes are common at this summer and you can do some simple remedies to reduce it. Whenever it is very hot give the baby a bath with tap water or just wipe body with tap water. let the body dry by itself under the fan. because of excessive sweating usually rashes will come avoid sweating. Hydrate the body by drinking more water and also more of fruit juices. you can apply Aloe Vera gel over the heat rashes. even you can apply Neem paste over the heat rashes which will help to heal Ice application over the body to reduce the prickly heat bath the baby 2 times a day. used simple thin cotton clothes or even can keep the baby open without the clothes.
