Q.

Hi, Can a lactating mother get covid vaccine ? I have a 4 months old who is only on breastfeed. Will there be any issues to the mother or baby if i get vaccinated?

A. as a pediatrician I would recommend that you should go for vaccination of Corona infection as per the Government of India they are not recommending vaccination for lactating mothers but there are very good number of studies which suggest that lactating mothers can take the vaccination so the end decision will be yours and you can discuss this with your doctor

Nope It is not recommended for you to go for the vaccination till the time a mother is feeding a child it is not recommended for them to go for this vaccination is this vaccination is not for them it’s only for normal people as of now a mother has the responsibility of child also which is why it’s not good
